What "To" Expect, and what "Not" to Expect

  Ladies and Gentlemen:

What to expect:

The motel is a nice motel, clean, close to everything , covered garage, air conditioned, heated and has a heated pool

Expect heavy traffic in Pigeon Forge all weekend if coming early. 90 % of all the traffic will be exiting PF on Sunday from noon on, so going in should present no real problem.

Nights will be cool, 50’s and low 60’s and days should reach up into the upper 70’s and 80’s.

A cookout may happen again this year. Last year's went real well and all seemed to have a good time and plenty to eat. Will post location 1 week before arrival.

The three rides picked are very beautiful and challenging routes. Lots of scenery to see and many places to take photo’s if wanted.
The rides will be taken at a leisurely pace, if you ride with me, with several stops for photos, rest and sight seeing.

There will be alternate routes for those who wish to push on and not take so much time sight seeing. Such as if you do not wish to stop at "Wheel’s through time" museum in Maggie Valley, I have set up two separate routes to take you back.

Maps will be provided showing each route chosen for that day. You may use the maps as they are or make your own routes.

NOT everyone will leave at the same time, eat at the same time, go to the same restaurants, get back at the same time, take the same routes or travel at the same speed.

Expect to have a chance to receive some nice gifts donated by some of our vendors and members of the forum.

Expect to have a great time, but remember your great time may not be the same as someone else’s great time.

Expect to meet some of the best people around and to make life time friendships.

We will have one night to play in Gatlinburg, or maybe more... Gatlinburg is a fun place with lots of shops (including leather) and many resturants, plus several sightseeing opportunities.

What  NOT  to expect:

Don’t expect everyone to ride as a big group. To many different styles and levels of aggressiveness for this to happen and have fun. Different groups will get together to best suit their riding ability and go.

Don’t expect a piece of paper to be handed to you outlining a schedule of events. Such as what time we leave in the mornings, what time and where we eat every meal, what time to get up and go to bed and who is going to ride with whom.

Don’t expect the weather to be great during your whole stay. I hope it is but there is always the chance that Mother Nature will mess things up by making it extremely hot, cold, wet, sunny, cloudy or foggy. We will be in the Smokey’s and it can be raining on one side of the mountain and sunny and hot on the other as we experienced last year.

Don’t expect Dolly Parton to coming knocking on your motel door with a "Welcome to Pigeon Forge" basket.

Don’t expect to be bored… With everything there is to do in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (go carts, miniature golf, eat, sightsee, eat, shop, eat or just relax. Did I mention eat ? ), you will have many options.

I just really want everyone coming to have a great time. Ride at their own pace, stop whenever and whereever they want and enjoy themselves. I know we will have a great time.

Expect the unexpected and nothing at the same time, that way anything you get will be a bonus...LOL

If anyone has any questions about anything, feel free to call me in at 865-621-8514 and I will do whatever I can to help. I also live only 30 minutes from there so if anything happens to a bike we can always take it to the house for a diagnose and fix.

Are we ready to have some FUN, I hope so, I am….. See you in Pigeon Forge….. Chuck
